You may recall that at the end of April, after taking Audit, I was ready to start studying to re-take Regulation. I had planned to sit for REG near the end of May, giving me approximately 4 weeks to study. Of course, nothing goes as intended (especially within such a tight timetable). I got sick (severe sinus issues) and had interviews, and as a result, I didn't get much studying done.
I rescheduled the exam for mid-July, which seems so far away. That’s why I have been procrastinating! It also doesn't help that I didn't receive my Audit grade yet – it has been 1.5 months already!
Since I will be starting my new job soon (some good news!), I have to get as much studying done as I can in the next couple of weeks. I have access to the Roger Online Cram (I watched 2 classes and they were really engaging!). I hope it will be give me those extra points I need to pass (I failed by 9 points last time). I also have the Yaeger Home Study course from when I last took REG in January. I will use it as an in depth review for areas I am not as confident with. I have the 2009 Wiley book as well.
I have to stop delaying and start studying!
I always seem to have problems getting and staying motivated to study. How is everyone else doing with their studying (CPA Exam, GMATs, anything)? Let me know!
congrats on the job my dear!! was it the one you wanted?
ReplyDeletei'm doing OK in the study department for the gmat. of course considering i'm unemployed, i could be doing more. but, i would go insane lol. applied math, algebra, geometry, sentence correction, critical reasoning, bleh!! b-o-r-i-n-g!! lol!! but i'm getting through it. i haven't set my date to take my test yet. having that "date" is too much for my anxiety right now. the plan is to take it in approximately one month-ish :)
good luck to you and your studying!!
Congratulations on your new job! Woo-hoo!!!
ReplyDeleteIt is unfortunate that the exams do not provide immediate scores. When I took the state nursing boards, GMAT, and GRE, I knew my score as soon as I was done. I would go bonkers if I had to wait over 1.5 months.
Hey congratulations on your New Job!!!!
ReplyDeleteI've been studying for my GMAT this past week and I know my weakest point is going to be the analytical writing assessment.
Melita - Thanks! This was the one! Good luck with your studying too!
ReplyDeletePink Heels - Thanks! Sometimes I think NASBA and the AICPA want CPA candidates to go nuts waiting for our scores!
Ms. Alecia - Thanks! Good luck with your studying!
Shoot me a note if we have to give you a little extra time on the Cram - and congrats on the new job!! YAY!!!
